Hi, I'm Julius Fiedler, but who's Hermann?
In Germany, Hermann is not only an elegant name, but a ‘Freundschaftskuchen’ (friendship cake). In essence, it is a sweet, yeasted starter dough, which continues to grow over time to a point where you give the natural surplus to your friends to use in a cake. It is basically an edible chain letter. But more importantly, it is the philosophy to pass something on, a cake but also a skill, that might last forever.
During the COVID pandemic, I hosted online sourdough baking classes under the name Baking Hermann. Afterwards, I assisted Jamie Oliver as a food stylist for over a year and now I film and share my own food content. I currently focus on natural plant-based food that is inspired by vegan cultures. 🌾

I still don't know what the hell is curry powder? Been cooking for 10 years now.
That's chole in india minus the bread in gravy..we boli chickpea with onion, whole red chilli, some bay leaf, peppercorn, cardomom both big and small, cinnamon etc and then cook onion paste, add ginger garlic paste, tomato paste, turmeric, coriander powder, chilli powder especially the one which only gives color and fry the masala till oil separate..we make a paste of a laddle full of chickpea to thicken the curry so next it goes for more frying..then add the chickpea and cook and add water and add garam masala powder and kasuri methi for flavours..serve it with roti, naan or bhatura..
